lawsuit against the City of Indian Rocks Beach

 Indian Rocks Beach Amended suit for 1,168 illegally licensed STR actively operating in. IRB. 

And their willful disregard of requiring compliance with Florida Statutes, Indian Rocks Beach STR Ordinance, and Indian Rocks Beach Business Tax Receipt license (BTR) and STR application requirements.

 Indian Rocks Beach has issued 502 BTR/STR licenses per their September 2024 BTR/STR report listed on the city’s website.

 The Pinellas Suncoast Fire Rescue District records show that only 217 of the STR located in Indian Rocks Beach have received the State and Indian Rocks Beach required fire safety inspections prior to issuance of the BTR/STR.

 It is likely that many 3 story STR cannot pass the state fire safety inspections.

 Homes Not Hotels, Inc. is requesting the Court to order Indian Rocks Beach to follow the required state statutes, as well as Indian Rocks Beach’s own STR Ordinance and BTR/STR application requirements.
