Our community is overwhelmed by overcrowding, excessive noise, trash, and heavy traffic. Before the city increases occupancy limits and redefines the term "bedroom," shouldn’t we focus on enforcing existing rules and applying common sense first?
We are a grassroots group dedicated to informing and protecting our community from the harmful effects of unregulated short-term rentals (STRs).
Neighborhoods should be home to residents, not transient visitors using houses as unstaffed motels. Investor-owned, full-time STRs—without permanent residents—threaten the future of our community and stem from reckless public policy.
For years, we have urged Indian Rocks Beach to implement and enforce fair, reasonable regulations to mitigate the negative impacts of STRs in single-family neighborhoods. Despite our efforts, no meaningful action has been taken, leaving us with no choice but to pursue legal action against the responsible stakeholders.
Unregulated STRs bring excessive noise, overcrowded streets, parking issues, trash, and disruptive parties. They are driving out long-term residents, eroding community character, and inflating housing costs. STRs should be strictly regulated and taxed as the commercial enterprises they clearly are.
We advocate for fair, common-sense regulations to protect the integrity and livability of Indian Rocks Beach.
Connecting concerned citizens and victims of the Short Term Rental wave that's invading our Indian Rocks Beach Neighborhood. Dedicated to keeping the charm and safety of our quiet Indian Rocks Beach Community.
We are always looking for neighbors to help our cause. Keeping our family neighborhoods a safe community instead of transient party hotels. Help in our fight and volunteer in a way that best suits you.
We can not accomplish our goals without a strong community voice, help and support from you, our neighbors. Thank you in advance for your dedication of time and support that makes this fight possible.
